Project Lead the Way is a nationally recognized pre-Engineering program that introduces students to how engineers think, work, and communicate. Areas of professional practice studied include Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Digital Electronics. This sequence of courses is completed by a senior capstone course, Engineering Design and Development, in which students work in teams to identify and solve problems. All PLTW courses participate in a Engineering Presentation Event in May to have their individual and team research projects critiqued by professionals and the public. Re-certified as an Innovation Zone in 2011, Muskego High School students typically score in the upper 60- 80% nationally. Completed course work can lead to college credit and scholarships.
For more information visit the PLTW website or speak with a school counselor or a MHS Technology Engineering and Design teacher.
