Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation can be used for various purposes. College applications and scholarships are the two most common. Students should ask the recommender via face to face conversation, when able, and follow up with the thoroughly completed Letter of Recommendation Form. Please allow 2-3 weeks for a written recommendation letter request.

NCAA Requirements
If a student wants to compete at an NCAA Division I school, they must register with the Eligibility Center meet academic and amateurism standards set by NCAA members. In order to be eligible for practice, participation in a regular season competition and athletically-related financial aid during the first academic year in residence, a student entering a Division Ι or Division II NCAA member institution directly out of high school must have met specific academic requirements. Depending on the year you graduate, the number of required courses will vary.
Any student wishing to play Division Ι or II athletics must complete the appropriate materials for the NCAA Clearinghouse that will determine academic freshman eligibility. Certification forms may be completed online in the fall of the senior year. ACT or SAT scores must be sent directly to the NCAA from the testing service using the code 9999. The high school transcripts must be ordered electronically through the student's Xello account.
As NCAA eligibility rules are often complex as they might apply to certain students, (special education for example), the NCAA national office should be contacted for proper interpretations in specific cases. Students who are interested in obtaining additional information concerning high school academic requirements for initial athletic eligibility and receipt of athletically related financial aid at Division I and II schools should view the NCAA “Guide for the College-Bound Student Athlete” online at the NCAA website.

Division II Eligibility Information
Students are responsible for selecting courses that meet the eligibility requirements. Because the rules change so quickly, and each student’s situation is unique, students may also wish to see the Activities Director or your School Counselor with questions.
Students interested in participating college athletics at an NAIA College need to register at www.playnaia.org.
