Mission Statement
Every student learning, growing . . . succeeding.
Vision Statement
The library is the information “hub” of the school community. The library will be both a physical place and information portal, where students and families will have access 24 hours a day 7 days a week through the website and electronic resources.
Materials Available
Our library has a wide variety of materials that include online resources, print materials, ebooks and audiobooks. Our fiction section is genrified (organized by genres such as adventure, fantasy, historical fiction, etc.) which easily helps students select materials of interest. All middle school students have access to the genrified fiction area. A popular classification within fiction is Young Adult (YA) literature that bridges the gap between children's and adult's literature. YA books offer a higher level of interest and engagement because students can relate to characters that are similar/different, encounter challenges and experiences of their world. 7th and 8th grade students have access to the YA materials.
Book Checkout
Books may be checked out for two weeks and can be renewed as needed. 5th-8th Grade can check out six books for enjoyment and as many research books as needed.
At any time, parents are able to see what their student has checked out from Destiny (physical collection) or Sora (ebooks and audiobooks). Linked are the directions for accessing the two accounts; parents will need to login as their student. It is the goal of the library to provide the right material for the right student; please use Novelist K-8 (provided by Badgerlink) to see professional and varied reviews. If you have additional needs or questions regarding the library materials your student accesses, please contact 4K-8th Grade School Librarian, Jenny Wied.
Destiny Physical Collection Access - will need to utilize your student log-in
Sora eBook and Audiobook Access - will need to utilize your student log-in
