Girls Basketball

Grades 7-8

Students on the basketball team learn the fundamentals of basketball and work to understand what it means to be part of a team. 
This is a fall sport, that begins shortly after school starts. Watch for information to be shared over the summer or at the beginning of the school year. 

Tryouts typically occur over two days, after which, a team is selected. Shortly after, practices begin. 
Practices are usually held Monday - Thursday from 3:15 - 4:30pm, on days when there are not games.
There are home and away games, typically with the 7th grade team and the 8th grade team each playing the same school. 
About half way through the season, the order of games will switch, so that the grade level who plays first alternates. 
If the team advances, there is a conference tournament. 
Busing is not provided to games.
