The registration window for Summer School 2024 has closed. For enrollment information, please contact your child's counselor or Katie Pacheco at katherine.pacheco@muskegonorway.org.
MHS Summer school offers students the opportunity to enrich and enhance their learning during the summer months. An added benefit is also the increased flexibility for course selections during the regular school year. Courses offered during the summer are the same courses offered as during the regular school year. Successful completion results in students earning 0.5 credit per course.
Summer school is a serious commitment; in-person students are expected to attend every day as one day of summer school is the equivalent of three days of regular school. Should a student be absent multiple days, administration reserves the right to remove the student from summer school with a “Withdraw/Fail” on the student’s transcript. Attendance at the two mandatory fitness testing sessions for Online/Hybrid Personalized Fitness classes is required. Administration reserves the right to remove the student from the course for failure to attend these sessions. Students are unable to participate in summer school if they have other commitments such as vacations, camps, sports tournaments, etc.
If your student is not currently in the district, please complete an application. The application will be approved within one business day, at which point you will be able to complete the registration process. If you are an out of district family, and your student has previously attended summer school, please contact Student Services (katherine.pacheco@muskegonorway.org) or Melanie Strom (melanie.strom@muskegonorway.org) and ask for an enrollment for your student.
Any absences will require verification of the absence from a parent/guardian. To report an absence from an in-person course, call or email Jessica Prokop at 262-971-1790 ext. 4521 or jessica.prokop@muskegonorway.org
